STUFF TO DO AT THE LIBRARY

YOU CAN DO TONS OF STUFF AT A LIBRARY. Got a free afternoon after the exams? Hit the library! The following is my to-do list when I visit my school library, but you can come up with your own list of stuff!

Disclaimer: It is not my fault if you get kicked out of the library for doing any of the below. Copy-cat your own risk!


  1. Say hi to the librarians. They will say hi back.
  2. Say SHUSH! to people who are laughing at Youtube videos in the lounge. Poor, poor souls.
  3. Tiptoe around the library, trying not to make any noise. Startle people (that I am familiar with) by putting my icy fingers on their shoulders and whispering Hi buddy!
  4. Walk around the shelves and pick out a book that looks interesting.
  5. Stroll to the Rotunda and gaze longingly at movies I will never have the time to watch.
  6. Stroll to the circulation desk, and check out the book I picked out.
  7. After putting the book inside my backpack, take out my homework.
  8. Sigh as I bring my homework to the study area and plop down on the chair.
  9. Work. Work. Work. Try not to get distracted by all the awesome tomes of knowledge and stories that surround me.
  10. BUT THE BOOKS BECKON, AND I MUST GO.
  11. End up wasting my study time, and cry when I go home and realize that I have not finished any of my work.
  12. End up not reading any of the book that I checked out. Hold onto the book several weeks past its due-date in the hopes that I might get around to reading it.
  13. Get a concerned email from the library that my book is overdue.
  14. Begrudgingly return the book to the library
  15. While there, notice all the cool magazines, journals, books, encyclopedias, etc.
  16. Repeat steps above.
