Aylan and Galip Kurdi
Three year old Aylan Kurdi and five year old Galip were brothers who died with their mother while making the popular but dangerous trip to safer countries. A photo of Alyan broke the news and media early September. It depicted the crushing image of the three year old face down in the sand on a beach in Turkey. The iconic and heartbreaking picture has moved people all over the world. It is a representation of the humanity in everyone, regardless of nationality, race, or religion. Aylan was just a little boy who did not deserve to die. When his father was offered asylum in Europe he said,"Now I don't want anything. What was precious is gone".
